…All of a sudden, this lovely woman Smriti said “Swamiji can I be your disciple?” Swamiji said “You can be the disciple of my Master Bhagavan”. Then he gave her a very special mala of chandan from Viswanath Temple. He said that she was a very pure soul and loved to serve in a very natural way. This was her nature he said and it came very naturally to her. He made the mala into a little circle and put it on top of her head. Smriti was crying in gratitude. Later Smriti told me that when Swamiji was lecturing she felt like she was going to have some kind of seizure.

It was such a spontaneous expression of love this moment. I will never forget it. Swamiji talked about love being the only way that he come closer and closer to his Guru. He ended by saying this, and chanting Hare Krishna is the way to remain close to him even when physically he is far away»
